Decanter Centrifuge Application in Oil & Gas Industry

Application
Decanter centrifuge is used in separating suspension of solid phase with 2~70% solid concentration, liquid viscosity ≤0.01PaS, particle diameter d≥2μm, in clarifying suspensions with little solids as well as amorphous material that brings difficulties for filtering cloth regeneration and suspensions which have a big change range in solid phase concentration.

The decanter centrifuge is also used in the solid-liquid separation in the fields of oil & gas industry, chemical industry, food, pharmacy and environmental protection, carrying out dehydration of solid phase, liquid clarifying, liquid-liquid-solid separating, granularity grading and other separating processes.

Structure
DC series horizontal decanter centrifuge is driven by two motors. The main motor drives the drum and the outer casing of differential through belts while the auxiliary motor, after the differential shifting speed, drives the spiral propeller. This will make the drum and the spiral propeller rotate in the same direction with a certain differential speed.

Feature
Decanter centrifuge is a professional solid-liquid separation equipment designed according to the petroleum drilling fluid features. And the equipment can perform feeding, centrifugal settlement and unloading as well as other solid-liquid separation operation procedures, used in recovery barite, removing fine solids, lowering solid content in the drilling fluid, controlling the drilling liquid viscosity and density to guarantee the drilling liquid performance and has a significant effect on fast drilling.
easy adjustment for liquid pit;
fluent slag transporting and draining;
convenient washing and maintenance.

Mono Screw Pump Working Principle and Apllication

M ono screw pump , also called  sewage pump  or  progressive cavity pump ,  belongs to the rotor type positive displacement pump .   M ono screw pump  is depend ing  on the screw meshing with liner on the discharge and suction cavity to conveying liquid volume change.   It is a kind of method of pressurized screw pump, a main working parts by bushing has a double helix cavity (stator) and the stator cavity and its meshing singlehead screw screw (rotor).   When the input shaft through the universal joint drive making planets revolving around the center of the stator, rotor stator, rotor, vice is continuous mesh form sealed cavity, the seal chamber volume invariably uniform axial movement, the medium from the suction end of deputy to the stator, rotor pressure side, the suction medium sealed cavity through the stator without stirring and destruction. M ono screw pump  is an ideal pump used to feed drilling fluids to decanter centrifuge. Since mud is evenly pushed to pro

Water Based Mud Drilling Cuttings Management

In  geotechnical engineering ,   drilling fluid is used to aid the drilling of  boreholes   into the earth , o ften used while drilling  oil  and  natural gas  wells and on exploration drilling rigs , and  also for much simpler boreholes  like   water wells . Liquid drilling fluid is often called drilling mud. The three main categories of drilling fluids are water-based mud (which can be dispersed and non-dispersed), non-aqueous mud, usually called oil-based mud, and gaseous drilling fluid, in which a wide range of  gases  can be used. The main functions of drilling fluids include :  providing  hydrostatic pressure  to prevent  formation fluids  from entering into the well bore, keeping the  drill bit  cool and clean during drilling, carrying out drill cuttings, and suspending the drill cuttings while drilling is paused and when the drilling assembly is brought in and out of the hole. The drilling fluid used for a particular job is selected to avoid formation damage  and to limi

Drilling Waste Management Approach and Method

Drilling waste management is a hot topic these years with global attention to environmental protection, especially in O il & gas industry. Drilling waste management  into environment without any treatment is strictly forbidden. So before disposal, a series methods must be introduced to treat the cuttings and make it reach to disposal standard. Drill ing   waste   is  produced as the rock is broken by the drill bit advancing through the rock or soil; the cuttings are usually carried to the surface by  drilling fluid  circulating up from the drill bit   by  rotary ,  percussion , or auger methods. The drill ing waste  is commonly examined to make a record (a  well log ) of the subsurface materials penetrated at various depths. In the oil and gas industry, this is often called a  mud log .   One drilling method that does not produce drill ing   waste  is  core drilling , which instead produces solid cylinders of rock or soil.   In cable-tool drilling, the drilling waste  i
