Shale Shaker Functions in Solids Control System

Shale shaker is the 1 st  stage separation equipment for oilfield solids control  system . It adopts  vibrating motor to generate vibrating force . The vibrating force  drives the drilling fluid with cuttings   pass  through the   shale shaker . When the drilling fluid  goes through the   shale shaker screen , clean mud will be filter ed and goes  into mud tank. No n- allowable bigger solids will pass the screen surface and be discharged  to cuttings pot . There are mainly two types of shale shaker applied in solids control system for drilling cuttings separation. A.  Balanced elliptical motion shale shaker . It is not recommended for oil and gas drilling since the flow capacity is big. If the mud flow is not equal, the motion of shaker will be changed. And performance will not be good. Solids Control System Equipment Mud Cleaner
